As the Officer in Charge – Innovation Cell, you will be the chief architect of our healthcare innovation ecosystem. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will bridge the gap between clinical needs, technological advancements, and academic research. Your primary mandate will be to drive MedTech/HealthTech start-ups from concept to commercialisation while embedding a strong entrepreneurial culture across health sciences institutions in Maharashtra.
Key Responsibilities- Ecosystem Building & Partnerships: Establish and scale strategic collaborations with hospitals, corporate health sectors, venture capitalists, regulatory bodies, and global research institutions.
- Global Ecosystem Representation: Represent the organisation at national and international forums, conferences, and exhibitions to attract key innovation partners and funding.
- Product & Clinical Validation: Partner closely with our internal Clinical Trials Unit to guide early-stage start-ups through multi-phase clinical validation, proof-of-concept testing, and IP creation.
- Incubation & Mentorship: Design and execute structured accelerator programs specifically built for clinician-innovators, biotech researchers, and tech founders.
- Academic Innovation Pipelines: Drive entrepreneurship initiatives across affiliated medical and health sciences colleges to convert grassroots clinical challenges into commercially viable products.
Who We Are Looking For (Eligibility Criteria)Education (Mandatory)- Bachelor’s degree in any Health Sciences discipline OR Biotechnology is strictly required.
- MBA is highly preferred.
- Strong preference will be given to candidates who are "Doc-preneurs" (clinicians with practical startup/corporate experience).
Experience- 10+ years of overall professional experience is mandatory.
- Must have a demonstrable track record of successfully leading or working within a HealthTech, MedTech, Biotech, or Digital Health start-up.
Domain Knowledge & Skills- Deep Tech Familiarity: Strong working exposure to emerging technologies like AI/ML, IoT, AR/VR, 3D simulation, and medical device manufacturing pathways.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to navigate complex conversations across academia, healthcare practitioners, VCs, and government regulators.
- Execution: Top-tier project management capabilities coupled with stellar public presentation skills.
