Job Description
- Job Purpose The Fire & Safety OAicer is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring fire prevention and occupational health & safety programs to ensure a safe working environment. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations and company safety standards. 2. Key Responsibilities A. Fire Safety Management Develop and implement fire safety policies and procedures. Conduct fire risk assessments and hazard identification. Inspect and ensure proper maintenance of fire protection systems (fire alarms, extinguishers, hydrants, sprinklers). Organize and conduct fire drills and evacuation exercises. Coordinate with local fire authorities and regulatory bodies. B. Health & Safety Compliance Ensure compliance with applicable fire and occupational safety regulations. Conduct regular workplace safety inspections. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-miss cases. Recommend corrective and preventive actions. Monitor proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). C. Training & Awareness Conduct fire safety and emergency response training sessions. Provide safety induction training to new employees. Organize toolbox talks and safety awareness campaigns. D. Emergency Preparedness & Response Act as Emergency Response Coordinator during incidents. Ensure emergency exits and evacuation routes remain clear.
