Role Description The Odoo Developer will work full time in a remote capacity, contributing to the design, development, customization, and maintenance of Odoo-based business applications. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing client requirements, configuring Odoo modules, developing custom features, and integrating Odoo with other systems and services. The role involves troubleshooting issues, optimizing performance, and ensuring that implemented solutions support smooth business operations. The Odoo Developer will collaborate with designers, project managers, and other developers to deliver reliable, scalable solutions and provide technical support and documentation for implemented features.
Qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Odoo development, including customization of existing modules and creation of new modules.
- Solid experience with Python programming and understanding of object-oriented development.
- Knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML for Odoo front-end and integration tasks.
- Experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL) and basic database optimization techniques.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, third-party integrations, and Odoo deployment on Linux-based environments.
- Understanding of business processes in areas such as ERP, CRM, accounting, inventory, or HR, and ability to translate them into Odoo workflows.
- Ability to gather and analyze requirements, document technical specifications, and communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Self-motivated, able to work independently in a remote setting, manage priorities, and meet project deadlines.
- Prior experience working with digital agencies or web development companies is an advantage.
