About the role
OCU Group has experienced continued growth and expansion within the water and wastewater sector. As a result of our ongoing project successes, we are now looking for a skilled designer to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with site managers, project managers, quantity surveyors, clients, and other key stakeholders.
Duties & Responsibilities
Carryout upfront site surveys
Carryout desktop study requirements
Obtaining utility drawings and using clients GIS systems
Produce PowerPoint presentations / Feasibility reports
Produce Detail Design drawings on AutoCAD
Produce Design Risk assessments.
Produce material lists based on detail designs produced.
Produce Design changes as required
Preparing site handover and completion packages.
Attend meetings both internally and with clients.
Update design manager or PD on progress of projects
Skills & Experience
Degree or HND qualified in Construction or Engineering. Equivalent work experience will also be considered.
Can use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook programmes
Competent using AutoCAD LT 2D
Awareness of CDM 2015
Have some knowledge of water / utility industry essential
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Full driving licence essential
