About the role

THE JOB / Travel Director

EXPERIENCES / Responsible for planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs.

The Travel Director will work in conjunction with the Octagon Incentives team and additional Travel Directors to execute various aspects of our automotive client’s annual incentive trip! The programs generally consist of daily group and individual activities with nightly evening events, including an awards dinner! The Travel Directors will support onsite with hospitality, staffing, transportation, event food and beverage, travel, attendee communications, and any other onsite duties. All candidates selected will be expected to attend a pre-program call prior to the trip to become familiar with program specifics and onsite responsibilities and expectations.

THE WORK YOU’LL DO

  • Professionally represent our client and the brand
  • Support Octagon Incentives team with all event logistics and operational aspects
  • Assist with staffing the onsite hospitality desk and daily activities
  • Support with evening events as needed
  • Aid with attendee communications and assistance

Who We’re Looking For

  • At least 5 years of experience as a Travel Director or Specialist in the automotive sector including a background in incentives and hospitality
  • Experience working with or knowledge of luxury and/or ultra-luxury vehicles is highly preferred
  • Self-motivated, positive, and dynamic approach to roles and responsibilities
  • High-end client relations and event hospitality fulfillment experience preferred
  • Extremely organized and ability to prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
  • The highest level of professionalism, attention to detail, reliability, and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Strong ability to work as part of a team, demonstrate initiative and solve problems independently
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • A background check including an MVR is part of the hiring process
  • Valid passport as international training may be required
  • Commitment to traveling the length of the program


This position pays a daily rate.
