Role Description The Ocean Freight Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in South East Delhi, responsible for managing end-to-end ocean freight operations. Daily activities include coordinating shipments with carriers, preparing and checking documentation such as bills of lading and export/import papers, and tracking cargo to ensure timely delivery. The role involves sales liaising with customers, shipping lines and internal teams to resolve issues, provide shipment updates, and maintain service quality. The Ocean Freight Executive will also support rate negotiations, assist in preparing quotations, monitor freight costs, and ensure compliance with regulatory and company standards. This position requires accurate data entry into logistics systems, maintaining records, and contributing to process improvements in ocean freight handling.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of ocean freight operations, international shipping procedures, and basic customs and documentation requirements.
- Identify new business opportunities and sales
- Effective communication and customer service skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple shipments and deadlines simultaneously.
- Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or supply chain roles, preferably with exposure to ocean cargo.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in South East Delhi and collaborate in a fast-paced operational environment.
