Role Description The Occupational Therapist will work full time on-site at Prayaas Therapy & Child Development Centre in Panchkula. The role involves assessing children’s sensory, motor, and functional abilities; developing individualized treatment plans; and delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions. The Occupational Therapist will support children in improving fine and gross motor skills, sensory integration, activities of daily living, and participation in school and play. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining detailed clinical documentation, collaborating with families and caregivers, coordinating with other professionals such as speech therapists and special educators, and contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings. The role also includes educating families on home-based strategies, monitoring progress, and adjusting therapy plans as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, including assessment and intervention planning for children.
- Knowledge of Pediatrics and child development, with experience working with children with autism, speech delays, and learning difficulties.
- Understanding of Rehabilitation principles, functional training, and activities of daily living for children.
- Excellent Communication skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution; relevant licensure or registration as required.
- Experience in pediatric therapy settings, schools, or child development centers is highly beneficial.
- Ability to maintain accurate records, manage caseloads responsibly, and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
- Empathy, patience, and a child-centered approach, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
