Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Perintalmanna. The Occupational Therapist will assess children’s developmental, sensory, and functional abilities, and design individualized intervention plans to support daily living, school readiness, and social participation. Responsibilities include delivering one-on-one and group therapy sessions, documenting progress, updating care plans, and collaborating with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, educators, and families. The role involves educating parents and caregivers on strategies to support children at home and school, and contributing to multidisciplinary case discussions. The Occupational Therapist will maintain high standards of professional practice, adhere to ethical and regulatory guidelines, and participate in continuous learning and program improvement.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy, including assessment, intervention planning, and evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Medicine relevant to child development, neurology, and common pediatric conditions.
- Candidates should possess skills in Rehabilitation, focusing on functional independence, sensory integration, and adaptive skills training.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates should possess competencies in Pediatrics, including understanding developmental milestones and pediatric therapeutic needs.
- Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Required licensure or registration as an Occupational Therapist as per local regulations.
- Experience working with children with special needs in clinical, school, or community settings is highly beneficial.
- Strong documentation skills, ability to manage a caseload, and commitment to inclusive, family-centered care.
- Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and to contribute positively to a collaborative team environment.
