Company Description Ray of Hope Center for Autism provides quality early intervention services to children with autism and related disabilities, using evidence-based procedures from Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA). The center focuses on improving socially significant behaviors such as communication, language, social interaction, self-care, work, and academic skills. Services are designed to support meaningful progress in daily functioning and learning. The team also works on identifying and reducing problem behaviors, including tantrums and self-injurious behaviors, that interfere with a child’s ability to learn and participate. Ray of Hope Center for Autism offers a collaborative environment dedicated to supporting children and their families.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Bengaluru. The Occupational Therapist will assess children with autism and related disabilities to identify strengths, needs, and functional goals. Daily responsibilities include designing and implementing individualized therapy plans, integrating ABA-based strategies to improve communication, social skills, self-care, motor skills, and academic-related tasks. The role involves conducting one-on-one and small group sessions, documenting progress, and collaborating with behavior therapists, educators, and families to ensure consistent support across settings. The Occupational Therapist will also participate in caregiver training, multidisciplinary meetings, and contribute to maintaining a safe, engaging, and child-centered environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation for children with developmental differences.
- Candidates should possess foundational knowledge in Pediatrics and Medicine relevant to autism and related disabilities.
- Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills for working with children, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Candidates should possess skills in assessment, individualized treatment planning, and progress documentation.
- Recognized degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution.
- Relevant registration or licensure as required by local regulations.
- Experience working with children with autism or neurodevelopmental conditions is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work collaboratively, demonstrate empathy, and adapt interventions to individual needs.
