Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Bengaluru. The Occupational Therapist will assess children’s developmental, sensory, motor, and functional skills, and design individualized therapy plans aligned with their needs and goals. Daily responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, implementing sensory integration and skill-building activities, and documenting progress using evidence-based methods. The role involves collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure coordinated care and consistent therapeutic outcomes. The Occupational Therapist will also guide and train parents and caregivers on home-based strategies, participate in early intervention and school readiness programs, and contribute to case reviews and developmental assessments.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Occupational Therapy, including pediatric assessment, intervention planning, and functional skill development.
- Relevant knowledge of Pediatrics and child development, with experience working with children with developmental, behavioral, or sensory needs.
- Background in Rehabilitation with skills in designing and implementing individualized, evidence-based therapy programs.
- Effective Communication skills for working with children, families, and a multidisciplinary clinical team.
- Basic understanding of Medicine related to developmental and neurological conditions is an advantage.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution; licensure or registration as required by local regulations.
- Experience in pediatric settings such as child development centers, schools, or hospitals is preferred.
- Ability to maintain detailed clinical documentation, uphold ethical and child-safe practices, and work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Commitment to continuous learning, openness to evidence-based approaches (e.g., sensory integration, early intervention), and a compassionate, child-centered approach.
