Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Occupational Therapist role based in Kochi. The Occupational Therapist will assess individuals’ functional abilities, sensory processing, and motor skills, and design personalized intervention plans using KALQY’s gamified, movement-based platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting therapy sessions, monitoring progress, adjusting treatment plans, and documenting clinical observations and outcomes. The role involves collaborating closely with educators, caregivers, clinicians, and internal product teams to ensure therapeutic activities align with evidence-based practice and user needs. The Occupational Therapist will also provide training and guidance to families and support staff, contribute insights to improve game-based therapeutic content, and participate in multidisciplinary discussions to optimize client care.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated expertise in Occupational Therapy and Rehabilitation, with the ability to design and implement individualized intervention plans.
- Foundational understanding of Medicine and clinical concepts relevant to neurodivergent populations, mobility challenges, and cognitive development.
- Strong Communication skills, including the ability to explain therapeutic goals clearly to children, adults, families, and cross-functional teams.
- Experience or training in Pediatrics, particularly working with children with developmental, sensory, or learning differences.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution; valid professional registration or license, as applicable.
- Experience in technology-enabled or gamified therapy environments is an advantage, along with comfort using digital tools and data insights.
- Ability to work collaboratively in interdisciplinary settings, maintain accurate clinical documentation, and adhere to ethical and professional standards.
- Empathy, patience, and a client-centered approach, with openness to innovative, play-based methods in therapy.
