Description
- Job Title: Occupational Therapist
- Location: Edappally, Kochi, Kerala
- Industry: Pediatric Rehabilitation / Child Development
- Employment Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Assess children with developmental delays, sensory processing issues, autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, cerebral palsy, and other conditions
- Develop individualized Occupational Therapy (OT) treatment plans based on clinical evaluation
- Conduct therapy sessions focusing on:
- Fine motor skills
- Gross motor coordination
- Sensory integration
- Activities of daily living (ADL)
- Use evidence-based therapy techniques and tools
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team (Speech Therapists, Psychologists, Special Educators).
- Educate and guide parents on home-based therapy programs.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and case notes.
- Participate in case discussions, review meetings, and center activities.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification: Bachelor’s / Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy (BOT / MOT)
- Experience: 0–3 years (Freshers with strong clinical interest in pediatrics can apply)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in pediatric therapy / sensory integration.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and child-friendly approach.
Key Competencies
- Understanding of child development milestones.
- Knowledge of sensory integration techniques.
- Ability to handle children with special needs.
- Team collaboration and case management.
- Parent counselling skills.
