About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at P&G Health Limited. This role is based at our corporate office in Mumbai and involves supporting our sales workforce dispersed across India. The primary objective of this position is to promote and maintain the health and well-being of our employees by providing comprehensive health services, implementing health programs, and fostering a safe and productive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting health assessments, managing work-related health concerns, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance workplace safety and employee engagement. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a BSc Nursing or GNM Nursing qualification with an active and valid registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council. Candidates holding a postgraduate certificate, diploma, or degree in healthcare management will be preferred, as it will add value to their profile. A minimum of two years of prior experience working in an occupational health setting or industrial health center is required. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in commercial acumen and an understanding of its application within a corporate health environment. Strong knowledge and practical experience in disaster management and preparedness are essential. The ability to communicate empathically and effectively, along with excellent interpersonal skills, is crucial for success in this role. A solid understanding of hazard recognition, risk assessment principles, and occupational health laws and regulations is necessary. Additionally, candidates should have a proven track record of contributing to health and productivity improvements, proficiency in medical terminology, and experience with medical testing procedures. Expertise in current occupational health standards and the ability to develop operational strategies for efficiency are also important qualifications.
Responsibilities
The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for conducting health assessments and providing primary care for work-related injuries and illnesses, ensuring adherence to established protocols. Developing, implementing, and evaluating occupational health programs aimed at promoting employee well-being and preventing workplace hazards will be a core part of the role. The nurse must support business needs by designing and driving impactful employee engagement initiatives. Collaborating with management and safety teams on hazard recognition and risk assessment activities will be essential to create a safer work environment. Leading and participating in disaster preparedness and management initiatives, including the development and execution of emergency response plans, will be key responsibilities. Providing empathetic communication and counseling to employees regarding health concerns, work-related stress, and return-to-work programs is vital to fostering a supportive workplace culture. Ensuring compliance with all relevant occupational health laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and confidential medical records, and applying advanced occupational health practices to guide decision-making are critical tasks. The role also involves contributing to overall health and productivity improvements through proactive health promotion and preventative measures. Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills, and utilizing medical terminology accurately to document and communicate health information are integral to the position.
