About The Role
The Occupational Health Nurse at P&G Health Limited plays a pivotal role in safeguarding and promoting the health and well-being of our employees. Based at the corporate office in Mumbai and supporting our sales workforce across India, this position requires a dedicated healthcare professional committed to creating a safe and healthy work environment. The role involves conducting health assessments, managing work-related injuries, and implementing health programs aimed at preventing workplace hazards. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with management, safety teams, and external health agencies to ensure compliance with occupational health standards and laws. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a BSc Nursing or GNM Nursing qualification, along with an active and valid registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council. Preference will be given to candidates holding postgraduate certificates, diplomas, or degrees in healthcare management, which will enhance their ability to develop and manage comprehensive health programs. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an occupational health setting or industrial health center is essential, demonstrating practical knowledge of workplace health management. Candidates should have a strong understanding of disaster management, hazard recognition, and risk assessment principles, along with proficiency in medical terminology and testing procedures. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, especially in empathic communication and counseling, are crucial for success. Candidates must also have a thorough knowledge of occupational health laws and regulations, along with a proven track record of contributing to health and productivity improvements within a corporate environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive health assessments and provide primary care for work-related injuries and illnesses, ensuring adherence to established protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health programs aimed at promoting employee well-being and preventing workplace hazards.
- Design and drive impactful employee engagement initiatives to foster a health-conscious work culture.
- Collaborate with management and safety teams on hazard recognition, risk assessment, and the development of mitigation strategies to ensure a safer work environment.
- Lead and participate in disaster preparedness and disaster management initiatives, including the development and execution of emergency response plans.
- Provide empathic communication and counseling to employees regarding health concerns, work-related stress, and return-to-work procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health laws and regulations, maintaining accurate, confidential medical records.
- Apply advanced occupational health practice principles to guide decision-making and service delivery.
- Contribute to enhancing overall health and productivity through proactive health promotion and preventive measures.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration skills to achieve shared objectives.
- Utilize in-depth medical terminology to accurately document and communicate health information, supporting clinical decision-making.
