About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Occupational Health Nurse to join P&G Health Limited in Mumbai. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and wellbeing of our employees at the corporate office and across our sales workforce dispersed throughout India. The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for providing comprehensive health services, promoting health initiatives, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. The role requires a proactive approach to health management, including conducting health assessments, implementing occupational health programs, and collaborating closely with management and safety teams. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a culture of safety and wellness, supporting disaster preparedness initiatives, and ensuring compliance with all relevant health regulations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a BSc Nursing or GNM Nursing qualification with an active and valid license/registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council. Preference will be given to candidates holding postgraduate certificates, diplomas, or degrees in healthcare management, which will add value to their profile. A minimum of two years of prior work experience in an occupational health setting or industrial health center is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in commercial acumen and its application within a corporate health environment. Strong knowledge and practical experience in disaster management and preparedness are required, along with excellent interpersonal and empathic communication skills. The candidate should have a solid understanding of hazard recognition, risk assessment principles, and occupational health laws and regulations. Proficiency in medical terminology, medical testing procedures, and a track record of contributing to health and productivity improvements are necessary. Additionally, expertise in current occupational health standards, operational efficiency strategies, and teamwork capabilities are highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments and provide primary care for work-related injuries and illnesses, adhering to established protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health programs aimed at promoting employee wellbeing and preventing workplace hazards.
- Support business objectives by designing and driving impactful employee engagement initiatives focused on health and wellness.
- Collaborate with management and safety teams on hazard recognition and risk assessments to create safer work environments.
- Lead and participate in disaster preparedness and disaster management initiatives, including developing emergency response plans.
- Provide empathetic communication and counseling to employees regarding health concerns, work-related stress, and return-to-work programs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and confidential medical records.
- Apply advanced occupational health practice principles to guide decision-making and service delivery.
- Contribute to enhancing overall health and productivity through proactive health promotion and preventative measures.
- Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating strong collaboration skills to achieve shared objectives.
- Utilize in-depth medical terminology to accurately document and communicate health information.
