About The Role
P&G Health Limited is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at the PGHL Corporate Office in Mumbai. This pivotal role involves providing comprehensive health services to our employees, including those based at the corporate headquarters and our sales workforce dispersed across India. The primary objective of this position is to promote and maintain employee health and wellbeing, ensuring a safe, healthy, and productive work environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting health assessments, managing work-related injuries and illnesses, and developing health programs aligned with organizational goals. This role requires a proactive approach to health promotion, risk assessment, and emergency preparedness, contributing significantly to the overall safety and health culture of the organization.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a BSc Nursing or GNM Nursing qualification with an active and valid license/registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council. Preference will be given to candidates holding postgraduate certificates, diplomas, or degrees in healthcare management, which demonstrate additional expertise in health administration and leadership. Candidates must have at least two years of prior experience working in an occupational health setting or industrial health center, showcasing their ability to handle diverse health scenarios within a corporate environment. Proficiency in medical terminology, medical testing procedures, and understanding of occupational health laws and regulations is essential. The candidate should demonstrate strong knowledge of hazard recognition, risk assessment, and disaster management principles. Excellent interpersonal and empathic communication skills are vital for counseling and engaging employees effectively. A demonstrated ability to contribute to health and productivity improvements through proactive measures and a collaborative mindset is highly valued.
Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments and provide primary care for work-related injuries and illnesses, adhering to established protocols.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health programs aimed at promoting employee wellbeing and preventing workplace hazards.
- Support business objectives by designing and driving impactful employee engagement initiatives related to health and safety.
- Collaborate with management and safety teams to identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and develop strategies for hazard mitigation.
- Lead and participate in disaster preparedness and management initiatives, including developing emergency response plans.
- Provide empathetic communication and counseling to employees regarding health concerns, work-related stress, and return-to-work procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and confidential medical records.
- Apply advanced occupational health principles to guide decision-making and service delivery, ensuring high standards of care.
- Contribute to enhancing overall health and productivity through proactive health promotion and preventative strategies.
- Work effectively within multidisciplinary teams, demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration skills to achieve shared goals.
- Utilize in-depth medical terminology to accurately document and communicate health information across relevant stakeholders.
