About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join P&G Health Limited in our Mumbai corporate office. This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive health services to our employees across the organization, including our sales workforce dispersed throughout India. The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for promoting employee well-being, ensuring a safe work environment, and supporting health initiatives aligned with corporate objectives. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to health management, possess strong communication skills, and demonstrate a deep understanding of occupational health principles. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- BSc Nursing or GNM Nursing with an active/valid license/registration with Maharashtra Nursing Council.
- Postgraduate certification/diploma/degree in healthcare management will be preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in an occupational health setting or industrial health center.
- Proficiency in commercial acumen and understanding of its application within a corporate health environment.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in disaster management and disaster preparedness.
- Exceptional interpersonal and empathic communication skills.
- Solid understanding of hazard recognition and risk assessment principles.
- Proven track record of contributing to health and productivity improvements.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and experience with medical testing procedures.
- In-depth knowledge of occupational health laws and regulations.
- Expertise in current occupational health practice standards and guidelines.
- Ability to develop and implement operational strategies for efficient health services delivery.
- Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Conducting health assessments and providing primary care for work-related injuries and illnesses, adhering to established medical testing protocols.
- Developing, implementing, and evaluating occupational health programs aimed at promoting employee well-being and preventing workplace hazards.
- Designing and driving impactful employee engagement initiatives to foster a health-conscious work environment.
- Collaborating with management and safety teams on hazard recognition and risk assessment to create a safer workplace.
- Leading and participating in disaster preparedness and management initiatives, including developing emergency response plans.
- Providing empathetic communication and counseling to employees regarding health concerns, work-related stress, and return-to-work programs.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant occupational health laws and regulations, maintaining accurate and confidential medical records.
- Applying advanced occupational health practices to guide decision-making and service delivery.
- Contributing to enhanced health and productivity through proactive health promotion and preventative measures.
- Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills to achieve shared goals.
- Utilizing in-depth medical terminology to accurately document and communicate health information.
