About The Role
P&G Health Limited is seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team in Mumbai. The role involves providing comprehensive health services to our employees, ensuring their wellbeing, and fostering a safe and healthy work environment. The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for conducting health assessments, managing work-related injuries, and implementing health promotion programs across our corporate office and sales workforce dispersed throughout India. This position requires a proactive approach to health management, collaboration with various teams, and adherence to legal and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for promoting health and safety in the workplace.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a BSc Nursing or GNM Nursing qualification, with an active and valid license/registration from the Maharashtra Nursing Council. Candidates with additional postgraduate certifications or diplomas in healthcare management will be preferred. A minimum of two years of prior experience in an occupational health setting or industrial health center is essential. The candidate should demonstrate proficiency in understanding and applying commercial acumen within a corporate health context, along with strong knowledge of disaster management and preparedness. Excellent interpersonal and empathic communication skills are vital, as is a solid understanding of hazard recognition and risk assessment principles. The candidate should have a proven track record of contributing to health and productivity improvements, proficiency in medical terminology, and experience with medical testing procedures. Knowledge of occupational health laws and regulations, as well as current standards and guidelines, is required. The ability to identify operational efficiencies and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams is also essential.
Responsibilities
The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for conducting health assessments and providing primary care for work-related injuries and illnesses, ensuring adherence to established medical testing protocols. Developing, implementing, and evaluating occupational health programs aimed at promoting employee wellbeing and preventing workplace hazards will be a key aspect of this role. The nurse will support and design impactful employee engagement initiatives that enhance health awareness and participation. Collaboration with management and safety teams on hazard recognition and risk assessment is crucial to create a safer work environment. The role involves leading and participating in disaster preparedness and management initiatives, including developing emergency response plans and conducting drills. Providing empathetic communication and counseling to employees regarding health concerns, work-related stress, and return-to-work procedures will be part of daily responsibilities. Ensuring compliance with all relevant occupational health laws and maintaining accurate, confidential medical records are critical tasks. The nurse will apply advanced occupational health practices to guide decision-making and service delivery, contributing to overall health and productivity improvements through proactive health promotion measures. Working effectively within a multidisciplinary team and demonstrating strong teamwork and collaboration skills are essential to achieving shared organizational goals. Additionally, the role involves utilizing medical terminology accurately to document and communicate health information effectively.
