About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join P&G Health Limited in Mumbai. This pivotal role involves delivering comprehensive health services to our employees at the PGHL corporate office and across our sales workforce dispersed throughout India. The Occupational Health Nurse will be responsible for promoting and maintaining employee health and wellbeing, ensuring a safe and productive working environment. The role requires a proactive approach to health management, including conducting health assessments, developing health programs, and collaborating with safety teams to mitigate workplace hazards. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering a culture of health, safety, and resilience within the organization. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will hold a BSc Nursing or GNM Nursing qualification with an active and valid registration with the Maharashtra Nursing Council. Candidates possessing postgraduate certificates, diplomas, or degrees in healthcare management will be preferred. A minimum of two years of relevant experience in an occupational health setting or industrial health center is essential. Demonstrated proficiency in understanding and applying commercial acumen within a corporate health context is highly desirable. The candidate should possess strong knowledge and practical experience in disaster management and preparedness, along with excellent empathic communication and interpersonal skills. A solid understanding of hazard recognition, risk assessment principles, and occupational health laws and regulations is required. The ability to utilize medical terminology accurately and experience with medical testing procedures are critical. The candidate should also demonstrate expertise in current occupational health standards and guidelines, with a focus on operational efficiency and health promotion initiatives. Effective teamwork and collaboration skills are essential to succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Conduct health assessments and provide primary care for work-related injuries and illnesses, adhering to established protocols and medical testing standards.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate occupational health programs aimed at promoting employee wellbeing and preventing workplace hazards.
- Design and support impactful employee engagement initiatives that foster a culture of health and safety.
- Collaborate with management and safety teams to identify hazards, perform risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies.
- Lead and participate in disaster preparedness and disaster management initiatives, including the development and execution of emergency response plans.
- Provide empathetic communication and counseling to employees regarding health concerns, work-related stress, and return-to-work procedures.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant occupational health laws and regulations, maintaining accurate, confidential medical records.
- Apply advanced occupational health practices to guide decision-making and service delivery, ensuring high standards of care.
- Contribute to health and productivity improvements through proactive health promotion and preventive measures.
- Work effectively within a multidisciplinary team, demonstrating strong collaboration skills to achieve shared organizational goals.
- Utilize in-depth medical terminology knowledge to accurately document and communicate health information.
