Logistics Coordinator

OCASA Life Sciences is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Coordinator to support daily transportation operations for our healthcare and life sciences customers. This role is responsible for coordinating shipments, tracking critical deliveries, communicating with drivers and customers, and ensuring all logistics activities are executed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with company procedures and industry standards.

The ideal candidate is organized, customer-service oriented, capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable working with time-sensitive shipments related to pharmaceuticals, clinical trials, laboratory specimens, medical devices, and healthcare materials.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor domestic transportation and logistics operations

• Track and trace shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery

• Communicate with drivers, vendors, airlines, warehouses, and customers regarding shipment status and updates

• Prepare and maintain shipping documentation, delivery records, and operational reports

• Ensure compliance with company SOPs, quality standards, and customer requirements

• Respond quickly to shipment delays, service issues, and operational escalations

• Enter and update shipment information accurately in transportation management systems and spreadsheets

• Support after-hours or urgent operational needs when required

• Coordinate with Operations, Customer Service, Quality, and Dispatch teams to ensure smooth execution of shipments

• Assist with KPI tracking, reporting, and continuous operational improvement initiatives

• Maintain high levels of professionalism and customer satisfaction at all times

Qualifications

• High school diploma required

• 1–3 years of experience in logistics, transportation, operations coordination preferred

• Experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, clinical trial, cold chain, or life sciences logistics is a plus

• Strong organizational and multitasking skills

• Experience working with IATA (International Air Transportation Association)

• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other computer systems

• Experience with TMS, ERP, or logistics software is a plus

• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus
