Responsibilities
The IT Support Engineer provides essential technical support for all users of applications developed by the CFS Automation team. This role is responsible for troubleshooting, problem-solving, and ensuring users can effectively utilize the software. The IT Support Engineer may also extract data, format and run reports, or perform specific analytical functions. The IT Support Engineer plays a critical role in maintaining the operational stability and efficiency of business applications. This position requires excellent communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to both end users and internal teams.
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree
Degree Preferred
Minimum Years of Experience: 5-9 years’ experience, related work experience in an application/production support role.
Certifications Required: 3 to 5 years’ experience in Finance, especially in the relevant processes

Required Knowledge/Skills:
- Technical Application Support: Provide timely technical support to production applications, systems, and business teams. Investigate incidents, interruptions, or bugs in operational systems. Perform triaging and problem-solving to identify issues and implement changes or workarounds for continued application use.
- Data Extraction & Reporting: Develop data extractions and generate reports based on user requests or requirements.
- Issue Tracking & Reporting: Track production issues and periodically report to the group responsible for monitoring application uptime and efficiency.
- Maintenance & Upgrades: Provide support during scheduled maintenance and application upgrade events.
Preferred Knowledge/Skills
- Provide two-tier support to applications and assist all end users by identifying and resolving production issues.
- Maintain scheduled jobs, troubleshooting processes, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
- Train new employees and offer expert guidance on production processes.
- Document all production applications, resolve application issues, and respond to user requests efficiently.
- Monitor performance metrics for various production systems, identify root causes for technical issues, and recommend effective solutions.
- Participate in daily stand-ups and other periodic meetings, maintain production applications, and plan appropriate strategies for ongoing support.
- Experience supporting complex, multi-module, custom applications.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
- Participate in internal application testing prior to releases to ensure quality and reliability.
