Responsibilities
The Customer Financial Services Organization is looking for a data governance analyst to help maintain enterprise customer billing accounts, and product data to improve data quality and overall governance coverage. The data governance analyst will assist the data team in the formulation and execution of data governance framework, policy, & standards and support the enterprise resource planning system’s (ERP) master data requirements.
The main responsibilities will include validating new customers via the approval queue, ensuring the customer billing association is accurate, assisting with master data fallout, and other relevant day-to-day operational activities that are needed for the successful creation and maintenance of the enterprise data master. This analyst will provide their strong analytic and technical skills to innovate, build, and maintain well-managed data solutions and capabilities to solve complex business problems.
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Analytics, Data Science, Business Intelligence, etc.)

Required Knowledge/Skills
- Work on day-to-day activities related to master data governance (ticket queues, approvals, & audits)
- Collaborate daily with the onshore governance teams to ensure service level agreements are met for each master data function.
- Support the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system by conducting audits and resolving issues proactively.
- Provide analysis and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
- Conduct detailed data analysis on data used across business units to evaluate business processes and improve on/create new features.
- Perform various data analytics in SQL and MS Excel using statistical models or industry accepted tools.
- Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
- Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT support teams.

- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, must be able to conduct analytics and summarize results via pivot tables and charts

- Basic level proficiency in Structured Query Language (SQL).
- Knowledge of data governance, data quality management concepts and data quality tools (i.e. Informatica DQ)
- Advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.
- Familiarity with BI reporting tools (i.e. Tableau, Power BI, & Business Objects)
- Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions
- Ability to write various documents such as functional requirements and process documents

Preferred Knowledge/Skills
- Experience with SONET/ IP Based applications; Design, ASR, Activations and/or Technical background
