Senior/Data Analyst

We're looking for a Data Analyst or Senior Data Analyst to join our Market Regulation branch on a fixed-term or secondment basis until 30 June 2026, based in either our Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland) or Te Whanganui-a-Tara (Wellington) office. This is a dynamic role where you'll contribute to the Commission's journey to become an insight-driven organisation. You'll support data engineering and analysis activities across a range of regulatory regimes, including Grocery, Telecommunications, Retail Payments, and Fuel and Dairy, helping to improve the integrity, accessibility, and usefulness of our data. Reporting to the Data Lead in our Market Regulation branch, you'll work closely with teams across the branch to ingest, transform, and document data assets; create value with dashboards and bespoke code-based automation solutions; contribute to improving our data community and our help our team reach higher levels. Your work will align with the expectations of the Chief Data Officer and the Commission's Data Governance model.
