About the role

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Tooling Manager to lead our automation initiatives within a dynamic manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in robotics, control systems, and manufacturing processes, with a focus on optimizing operational efficiency and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as CGMP. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated systems that drive production excellence.


Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities

  • Institute and manage a PM plan that will decrease the incidence of fixture break down.
  • Schedule weekly, monthly, six-monthly PM for the fixture/production equipment to keep them in running condition.
  • Obtain the required materials and equipment that will be required for regular and preventative maintenance of tooling.
  • Oversee, direct and assist Tool Makers in completing regular and PM of tools.
  • Proven experience with Fanuc robotics, robot programming, and vision inspection systems in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in tooling, machining, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and schematic reading.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately for system integration and troubleshooting.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to lead projects from conception through implementation.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments and convey technical information clearly. This role is integral to advancing our manufacturing capabilities through innovative automation solutions that meet industry standards for quality and efficiency.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Bachelor's degree in mechanical or manufacturing engineering is preferred. 

Journeyman Tool and Die Maker certification.

5 - 10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with at least 5years in a leadership role
