
As a Group Sourcing Manager at NVR, you will work with senior Procurement leadership to establish sourcing strategies, along with managing select contractors, distributors, and suppliers, with spend ranging from $200 million to $300+ million. You will work within a Procurement team to establish and achieve NVR’s sourcing goals and meet or exceed annual business objectives. You will interface with Regional Homebuilding Managers, Building Products Materials leadership and supply base leadership.
Primary Responsibilities
· Work with senior Procurement leadership to establish and execute sourcing strategies for assigned categories. Consistently focus on identifying and implementing new products and processes that will continue to advance NVR’s strategic goals.
· Lead projects and change management for assigned categories, ensuring clear and concise communication, robust project management and timely execution of the project plan.
· Establish competitive and comprehensive contracts and vendor relationships, which are consistent with the company’s culture, strategic business objectives and continuous improvement and cost reduction efforts. Interface with senior leadership at established and new suppliers to ensure NVR’s designs, quality and service levels are current and meeting expectations.
· Manage assigned categories by ensuring suppliers are meeting or exceeding quality, service, lead times and cost initiatives established by NVR.
· Support senior Procurement leadership in ensuring consistent and comprehensive communication to the customer, both internal and external.
· Understand NVR’s yearly business objectives, initiatives, and cost reduction goals and ensure they are met or exceeded. Identify and implement projects or processes to achieve these goals.
· Interface with Regional Homebuilding Operations, ASD, Building Products and Sales/Marketing leadership to drive improvements within the supply chain and operations.
· Serve as Procurement lead in broader NVR initiatives.
Qualifications
10+ years of Procurement or Homebuilding (Production or Costing) related experience
Bachelor’s degree
History of strong negotiation skills in dealing assertively and with a sense of urgency
Strong commitment to customer service
Proven project management skillsets in developing and implementing change management
Demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple tasks, setting priorities, decision-making and meeting deadlines
Strong analytical skills
Ability to read, understand, and negotiate contract terms and conditions
Self-managing; works well with minimal supervision
Ability to effectively interact with all organizational levels and suppliers
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written skills
