Job Title: Nutritionist – New Product Development (Nutraceuticals)

Role Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and research-oriented *Nutritionist – NPD* to lead the development of innovative nutraceutical products. The role involves formulating science-backed supplements, validating claims, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting product launches from concept to commercialization.
The ideal candidate understands both nutrition science and commercial product development, with experience in proteins, vitamins, minerals, herbal extracts, and performance supplements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Product Ideation & Development
* Identify consumer needs, market gaps, and emerging nutraceutical trends
* Develop product concepts aligned with brand positioning
* Formulate new supplements including proteins, blends, capsules, powders, and functional nutrition products
* Optimize formulations for efficacy, bioavailability, taste, and stability
2. Research & Ingredient Evaluation
* Conduct scientific research on ingredients and dosage standards
* Evaluate clinical studies to substantiate claims
* Benchmark competitor formulations
* Recommend innovative ingredients aligned with performance, wellness, or therapeutic goals
3. Regulatory & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with FSSAI and applicable nutraceutical regulations
* Validate label claims and nutritional information
* Maintain formulation documentation and technical dossiers
* Support certification and product approval processes
4. Manufacturing & Quality Coordination
* Coordinate with third-party manufacturers for trial batches
* Review product samples and ensure batch consistency
* Support stability and shelf-life testing
* Troubleshoot formulation or quality issues
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Provide scientific support to marketing for product communication
* Assist in sales training on product benefits
* Contribute to pricing discussions and cost optimization
* Support go-to-market planning
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, Food Technology, or related field
* 2–5+ years of experience in nutraceutical or supplement product development
* Strong knowledge of supplement ingredients and dosage standards
* Familiarity with FSSAI compliance and labeling norms
* Experience working with contract manufacturers preferred
