The Opportunity This is an 8 to 10-week internship with start dates beginning in May through June 2025, depending on your availability, with an end date of July 31. Nutanix offers both hybrid internships where you would work from the San Jose, CA, office 2-3 days/week. Your Role Work closely with technical staff/leaders to design and create design documents. Depending on the team you're assigned, generate code that enhances product features and increases the speed and efficiency of the functionality of products. Our interns work across a range of teams and projects spanning a variety of technology areas, including, but not limited to: Files systems project Complete multi-cloud and hybrid-cloud engines Database services Virtual machine lifecycle management System design Distributed systems, distributed storage, and platform deployment Linux kernel development Performance and scale of storage systems and more! Stay connected with your leadership, team, and peers through regular meetings via Slack chats. What You Will Bring You are currently pursuing a bachelor's in computer science or a related field. You have taken two or more courses, preferably in distributed systems, operating systems, parallel programming/database systems, computing, or the fundamentals of computer Architecture. (Review the Nutanix Bible hyperlink below to see WHY these courses are needed) You are proficient in one or more of the following backend systems programming in the following languages: Golang, C, C++/Python.
