Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai for a Nursing Superintendent. The Nursing Superintendent will oversee and manage the nursing staff, ensuring quality patient care and compliance with medical and organizational standards. Responsibilities include scheduling shifts, training, mentoring nursing teams, ensuring proper allocation of resources, and implementing best practices. The role also involves monitoring patient care operations, maintaining patient safety protocols, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless medical services within the hospital. The role includes implementation of NABH documentation, and overseeing the departmental processes.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills to guide and motivate nursing staff.
- Comprehensive knowledge of nursing practices, patient care standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with staff, patients, and families.
- Experience in hospital administration, resource management, and implementing best practices in a healthcare environment.
- Implementation of NABH standards in a multi-speciality hospital
- Critical thinking, decision-making abilities, and problem-solving skills for managing day-to-day operations efficiently.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Nursing and a valid nursing license; additional certifications in healthcare management are preferred.
- Proven experience in a supervisory or managerial nursing role, preferably in a hospital setting.
