Role Description The Nursing Specialist position is a full-time, on a contractual salary basis in the Pune Division, providing direct clinical and personal care to patients in their homes. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, administering medications and injections as prescribed, performing wound dressing and catheter care, and monitoring vital signs and overall health status. The role involves assisting with mobility, personal hygiene, and daily living activities, while ensuring patient comfort, safety and dignity. The Nursing Specialist will coordinate with families, physicians and other healthcare providers, maintain accurate documentation and care records, and contribute to individualized care plans. This position requires consistent adherence to infection control practices, ethical standards and company protocols while supporting family members with clear communication and guidance.
Qualifications
- Strong Nursing and Medicine skills, including clinical assessment, medication administration and basic procedures relevant to home care.
- Demonstrated expertise in Patient Care and Caregiving, with experience supporting elderly, bedridden or post-hospitalization patients.
- Effective Communication skills to interact with patients, families and healthcare professionals with clarity, empathy and respect.
- Recognized nursing qualification (GNM, B.Sc Nursing or equivalent) and valid registration with the appropriate nursing council.
- Experience in home healthcare or hospital-based nursing, with familiarity in documentation, monitoring and care planning.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, travel within the Pune Division for home visits, and manage care independently in a home setting.
- Commitment to patient safety, infection control, confidentiality and ethical caregiving practices.
