Role Description The Nurse Intern role at ApoKOS Rehabilitation is a full-time, on-site position based in Delhi, India. The Nurse Intern will support registered nurses and the multidisciplinary rehabilitation team in delivering patient-centered care across various programs, including neurological, cardiac, orthopaedic, pediatric, geriatric, stroke, and spine rehabilitation. Daily responsibilities include assisting with basic nursing procedures, monitoring vital signs, supporting therapy sessions, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring adherence to infection control and safety protocols. The role also involves communicating with patients and families, providing education on care plans, and coordinating with therapists and physicians to support holistic recovery. Nurse Interns will be encouraged to learn and apply evidence-based practices, participate in training sessions, and develop professional skills in a highly specialized rehabilitation environment.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess foundational clinical skills in patient assessment, basic nursing procedures, vital sign monitoring, and infection control.
- Candidates should possess skills in patient communication, empathy, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to support patients and families during rehabilitation.
- Candidates should possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, documentation accuracy, and the ability to follow established protocols and care plans.
- Candidates should possess collaborative skills to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team of nurses, therapists, and physicians.
- Candidates should possess a willingness to learn rehabilitation practices, including exposure to occupational therapy, speech therapy, and advanced technologies.
- Completion or ongoing enrollment in a recognized nursing program (GNM, B.Sc Nursing, or equivalent) is required.
- Basic knowledge of rehabilitation nursing or prior clinical internship experience in a hospital or rehabilitation setting is an advantage.
- Professional integrity, reliability, and the ability to work flexible shifts in a fast-paced clinical environment are essential.
