About the Role
SGI School, Mulshi is seeking a qualified, compassionate, and experienced School Nurse to manage our campus infirmary and oversee the day-to-day healthcare needs of our students and residential staff. Because this is a residential campus, free accommodation and meals are provided on campus.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first aid, emergency medical care, and general health evaluations to students and staff.
- Administer prescribed medications according to medical protocols and maintain precise medical logs.
- Monitor, isolate, and care for unwell residential students in the infirmary.
- Coordinate with visiting school doctors and manage immediate transfers to nearby hospitals during emergencies.
- Maintain complete, confidential student health records, allergy profiles, and vaccination trackers.
- Promote hygiene, sanitation, and health awareness across boarding dormitories and school premises.
- Maintain infirmary inventory, including routine first-aid supplies, emergency drugs, and medical equipment.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: GNM (General Nursing and Midwifery) or B.Sc. in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Valid registration with the State Nursing Council / Indian Nursing Council.
- Experience: Minimum 2–5 years of clinical nursing experience. Prior experience working in a residential school, boarding school, or pediatric care environment is strongly preferred.
- Certification: Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) or First Aid certification is an advantage.
- Availability: Must be ready to join immediately and reside on campus.
- Skills: Patient, empathetic demeanor with children; strong emergency assessment skills; fluent in English and Hindi (working knowledge of Marathi is a plus).
