Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Nuclear Medicine Physician role based in Chennai. The physician will perform and interpret diagnostic nuclear medicine procedures, including imaging studies and functional tests, in accordance with established clinical protocols. Daily responsibilities include reviewing patient histories, selecting appropriate nuclear medicine tests, supervising radiopharmaceutical administration, and ensuring accurate reporting of results to referring clinicians. The role involves close collaboration with radiology and other clinical teams, monitoring radiation safety practices, and participating in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives. The physician is expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of nuclear medicine techniques, comply with all regulatory guidelines, and contribute to patient education and counseling as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in Nuclear Medicine and Medicine, with the ability to independently perform and interpret diagnostic nuclear procedures.
- Solid understanding of Nuclear and Radiology principles, including imaging modalities and integration with broader diagnostic pathways.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Radiation Safety, including adherence to national and institutional regulations and best practices.
- Recognized medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) and completed specialization in Nuclear Medicine or relevant postgraduate training.
- Valid medical license and registration with appropriate regulatory bodies; experience in hospital or clinical practice is preferred.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills, with a patient-centered approach and attention to detail.
- Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage a consistent full-time schedule, and adapt to evolving clinical and technological standards.
