Role Overview

The HR Manager- India will serve as the in-country HR lead responsible for ensuring statutory compliance, executing global HR programs, supporting talent acquisition, and fostering the Nu Skin Force for Good culture in India.

This is a hands-on role designed for a strong HR operator who understands India employment law, is proficient in Workday, and can independently manage recruiting and employee lifecycle processes within a global framework.

Corporate HR infrastructure (Workday, global policies, payroll/benefits vendors, performance programs) is already established. This role will ensure effective local execution, compliance, and cultural alignment - including embedding The Nu Skin Way within the India market.

Nu Skin’s newly developed India market currently consists of approximately 10 employees, with anticipated growth over the next 2–3 years. This role supports all employee types within India and plays a critical role in scaling the organization in alignment with global governance and local market requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. India HR Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with India labor laws, Shops & Establishments regulations, and statutory requirements.
  • Partner with payroll and benefits vendors to ensure compliant processing.
  • Maintain employment documentation, contracts, statutory filings, and audit readiness.
  • Monitor changes in India employment law and advise market leadership accordingly.
  • Manage employee relations matters including disciplinary actions and separations in alignment with corporate HR

2. Talent Acquisition (India Market)

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for India-based roles across functions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements and hiring strategy.
  • Manage candidate lifecycle within Workday.
  • Generate and issue compliant offer letters through Workday.
  • Ensure compensation offers align with corporate guidelines and India market benchmarks.

3. HR Operations & Workday Execution

  • Manage employee data accuracy, job changes, onboarding/offboarding workflows.
  • Execute global HR processes locally (e.g. performance management, engagement initiatives, compensation cycles, talent management).
  • Partner with Corporate HRBP to ensure alignment with global policies and governance.

4. Leadership Partnership

  • Act as a trusted HR advisor to the India Market Head and India leadership team members.
  • Provide practical, compliant guidance in a fast-scaling environment.
  • Balance entrepreneurial market needs with global standards and governance.
  • Align global HR strategy with India market business priorities, converting enterprise initiatives into practical, locally relevant execution that enables sustainable market growth.
  • Provide workforce planning insight to support market success.

5. Culture & Employee Experience

  • Embed The Nu Skin Way and global values into the India employee experience.
  • Support onboarding programs that reinforce culture and performance expectations.
  • Foster a professional, accountable, and growth-oriented work environment.
  • Serve as local escalation point for employee relations matters.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of progressive HR experience in India
  • Strong expertise in India labor law and statutory compliance
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience using Workday (recruiting + core HCM required)
  • Experience managing full-cycle recruiting
  • Experience working within a multinational or matrixed organization preferred
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to influence and coach senior leaders
  • Operationally strong, proactive, and solutions-oriented
