Responsibilities
- Install and commission commercial propane systems, including piping, regulators, and appliances.
- Interpret and work from technical drawings, blueprints, and site plans.
- Conduct system pressure tests, leak detection, and safety inspections.
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, and site managers to ensure timely and compliant installations.
- Maintain detailed records of installations, inspections, and service work.
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards (e.g., CSA B149), and company policies.
- Provide technical support and training to commercial clients on system operation and safety.
- Operate and maintain service vehicles, tools, and equipment.
- Respond to emergency service calls and troubleshoot system issues as needed.
- Interact with our customers
- Follow safe work practices
- Document work performed on service assignments
- Other duties as required to meet customer/business needs
Qualifications
- Experience with large-scale propane and Natural gas systems.
- Familiarity with commercial HVAC, kitchen equipment, or propane applications.
- Safety training certifications.
- Ability to work with other trades on site
- Provide mentorship to Apprentices
- Technical training or certification in gas fitting or propane systems preferred.
- Valid propane installation license or certification (as required by local regulations).
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in commercial or industrial propane installation.
- Strong knowledge of commercial propane systems and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license;.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple job sites.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
