Role Description The NPD (New Product Development) Engineer will be responsible for leading and supporting the development of new manufacturing products and processes from concept through production. This full-time, on-site role based in Kotda Sangani involves coordinating cross-functional activities, preparing design and process documentation, conducting feasibility and cost analyses, and ensuring that new products meet performance, quality, and safety standards. The NPD Engineer will collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to validate prototypes, optimize designs for manufacturability, and resolve engineering issues on the shop floor. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring project timelines, supporting trials and testing, preparing technical reports and specifications, and communicating project status to stakeholders. The role also includes continuous improvement initiatives to enhance existing products and processes in line with customer and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering skills, with experience in product and process development.
- Candidates should possess solid Project Management and Analytical Skills to plan, execute, and monitor NPD activities effectively.
- Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical information.
- Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field are preferred.
- Experience in industrial or manufacturing environments, knowledge of quality and safety standards, and familiarity with CAD tools or design software are beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Kotda Sangani, manage multiple projects, and adapt to changing priorities is important.
