Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a New Product Development (NPD) Engineer based in Tirupati. The NPD Engineer will be responsible for managing product development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, designing and validating components, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring product quality compliance. The role encompasses engaging with clients to understand product requirements, creating design proposals, and spearheading efforts to optimize production efficiency.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in product design, development, and component validation
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including Metal Injection Molding (MIM), and an understanding of precision machining
- Experience in creating and interpreting technical drawings, CAD software, and product specifications
- Project management ability with skills in coordinating cross-functional teams and meeting development timelines
- Problem-solving capabilities with knowledge of quality assurance and process improvement methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, or related fields
- Proven experience in new product development, preferably in industries like automotive, medical devices, defense, or aerospace
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients and internal teams
- Proficiency in automation solutions and knowledge of additive manufacturing is a plus
