Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an NPD (New Product Development) Engineer based in Chennai.
The NPD Engineer will oversee the development and enhancement of new products from concept to production. Daily responsibilities include designing and prototyping new products, collaborating with cross-functional teams, conducting performance testing, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. The role also involves troubleshooting design or manufacturing issues, preparing detailed documentation, and participating in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize processes and cost efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software, product design, and engineering analysis
- Experience with Screw manufacturing processes, materials selection, and prototyping
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent project management and time management skills
- Strong teamwork and collaboration abilities with cross-functional teams
- Knowledge of industry standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Product Design, or related field
- Prior experience in new product development is preferred
- Strong communication and technical documentation skills
