Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification required - Certificate or diploma in Engineering and/or Manufacturing is preferred
- At least two to three years’ experience as a CNC machine operator preferred
- Mechanical aptitude a must including proven knowledge involving machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
- Ability to translate mechanical documents and engineering drawings
- Great attention to detail with a goal-driven attitude
- Strong comprehension and analytical abilities
- Good computer and mathematical skills
- A keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
- Must be committed to maintaining a clean work environment and be able to keep accurate records of daily work
- Teamwork is essential: employee must be able to work in a team environment under repetitive conditions
- Possess strong math skills in addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Excellent eyesight, with or without correction, required
- Able to frequently walk and to stand on concrete floors for long periods at a time - occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl - able to climb ladders, retrieve materials from storage, etc.
- Ability to frequently lift and/or move weights of 35 to 45 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move weights of 45 to 75 pounds
- Self-motivated, mature, and possess an excellent work ethic
- Ability to, throughout employment, pass and maintain a clean drug and criminal background screening

APPLICANT NOTICE
This position as a CNC Machinist begins status as “Introductory Trainee” for 60 consecutive days during which time Supervisory staff will evaluate whether the employee is suited for the position. If the employee is determined to be suitable for the job, status will then advance to “Regular Employee” on the first of the month following the 60-day introductory period and Company benefits will commence.
Additionally, the successful applicant will be required to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
JOB DETAILS

The CNC Machinist plays a critical role in producing Nosler’s industry-leading products by setting up, operating, and monitoring CNC machines to ensure consistent quality and performance.
This position is responsible for interpreting blueprints, making program or offset adjustments as needed, and ensuring parts meet strict tolerances and quality standards. The CNC Machinist will also perform routine machine checks, basic troubleshooting, and light maintenance, while supporting inventory and production processes as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The CNC Machinist is responsible for setting up, operating, and optimizing CNC machinery to produce precision components that meet strict engineering specifications and quality standards. This role requires strong technical expertise in machining processes, blueprint interpretation, and troubleshooting to ensure efficient production and continuous improvement.
- Perform full machine setup including tooling selection, fixture installation, and offset adjustments for CNC mills, lathes, or other equipment
- Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T to ensure accurate part production
- Edit and adjust CNC programs to improve efficiency, tool life, and part quality
- Monitor machine performance during operation and make real-time adjustments to maintain tight tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify conformance to specifications
- Troubleshoot machining issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and scrap
- Maintain detailed production and quality records, including inspection results and process changes
- Perform routine machine maintenance and conduct daily equipment checks to ensure optimal functionality
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to improve processes, reduce waste, and increase productivity
- Ensure all machining processes comply with company safety standards and quality expectations
- Communicate production concerns, equipment issues, or material discrepancies in a timely manner
- Support inventory control and material handling as needed

1st Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm
OR
Day Shift: Flexible hours within assigned shift
