Northwest Partners is partnering with a premier client in the insurance industry to hire an experienced full-time Business Intelligence Developer II. This remote role focuses on designing, implementing, and maintaining data solutions to support critical business needs efficiently and effectively.
What YOU will do:
- Develop BI reports, dashboards, and ETL processes based on complex business requirements.
- Analyze and translate detailed business needs into technical specifications.
- Perform data analysis to ensure data quality and support documentation efforts.
- Conduct unit testing, troubleshooting, and provide support for existing BI solutions.
- Create and maintain technical design documentation and user guides.
- Optimize current solutions to improve efficiency through automation.
- Conduct training, manage changes, and plan releases for deployed solutions.
- Design and maintain OLAP cubes and dimensional data models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
What YOU will bring us:
- Advanced proficiency in SQL (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, or similar RDBMS).
- Expertise with BI tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Reporting Services, or Cognos.
- Experience creating ETL processes using Microsoft Integration Services or Informatica.
- Exposure to OLAP cubes, dimensional data modeling, and data warehousing methodologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 2+ years of IT experience (military experience may substitute for education/experience).
- Master’s Degree or professional certifications in relevant fields.
- Experience in the health or ancillary insurance industry.
- Strong ability to gather and document complex business requirements.
