Nashua-Plainfield CSD is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Upper Elementary Classroom Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. We are committed to fostering a positive learning environment where all students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and the ability to create a structured, supportive learning environment
- Uses student data to inform instruction and improve student outcomes
- Collaborates effectively with grade-level and building teams to plan instruction
- Communicates clearly and professionally with students, families, and colleagues
- Engages in ongoing professional learning and contributes to school improvement efforts
- Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented mindset
- Knowledge or interest in math and science instruction preferred, but not required
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned instruction
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners
- Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and communicate student progress with families
- Participate in Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) and district initiatives
- Support a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Iowa teaching license with appropriate endorsement(s)
- Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field
