At-Risk Interventionist
The Academic and Behavior Interventionist supports K–12 students who need additional structure, guidance, or skill development to be successful in the school environment. This position works under the direction of the school social worker and school counselor to implement tiered interventions, monitor progress, support attendance and engagement efforts, and contribute to coordinated student plans. The role strengthens proactive student support, reduces reactive discipline, and allows licensed staff to focus on higher-level case management and counseling responsibilities.

Primary Responsibilities
- Provide direct Tier I, II, and III academic and behavior interventions as planned and supervised by certified staff.
- Support the implementation of individualized and classroom-based behavior plans.
- Assist in the collection and monitoring of student data, including attendance, engagement, academic progress, and behavior trends.
- Help reinforce replacement behaviors, social–emotional skills, and executive functioning strategies.
- Provide supportive assistance to students experiencing behavior escalation.
- Maintain consistent, supportive relationships with students and model positive interactions.
- Provide supervision during transition times, unstructured settings, and other identified areas to promote a safe and predictable learning environment.
- Support attendance improvement plans by communicating with students, tracking patterns, and collaborating with staff.
- Participate in problem-solving meetings and contribute observations to assist in coordinated planning for students needing additional structure.
- Document interventions and student responses as required.
- Maintain confidentiality in accordance with district policy and legal standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned that support student success and school improvement.
