Business Strategist – Product & Portfolio Strategy

We are seeking a Business Strategist to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our product portfolio. This is a high-impact position designed for a leader who brings deep expertise across the full credit union product lifecycle and thrives on turning insight into action at the highest levels of the organization.
In this role, you will serve as a trusted strategic advisor, guiding decisions that influence product direction, financial performance, and long-term market positioning. You will work closely with executive leadership and cross-functional partners to ensure our offerings deliver both strong financial outcomes and meaningful value to our members.
What You’ll Do
Drive Product Strategy & Market Positioning
Lead strategic evaluation of our product portfolio, identifying opportunities to strengthen competitive positioning, align with evolving member needs, and support long-term growth.
Shape Profitability & Pricing Decisions
Analyze and model product performance across lending, deposit, and ancillary offerings. Provide insight into pricing strategies and structural changes that optimize both margin and member value.
Champion Member Value
Ensure product strategies are grounded in a clear understanding of member benefit balancing financial performance with the value delivered through rates, features, and experience.
Deliver Competitive & Market Insight
Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and market shifts. Translate findings into actionable recommendations that influence product design and strategic direction.
Advise Executive Leadership
Act as a key voice in strategic conversations bringing data driven perspectives that inform decisions, challenge assumptions, and guide organizational priorities.
Translate Insight into Action
Develop robust business cases for new products, enhancements, and strategic initiatives, incorporating financial modeling, market demand, and risk considerations.
Connect Strategy Across the Organization
Partner across lending, deposits, marketing, finance, and technology to ensure alignment between product strategy, business goals, and execution realities.
Elevate Strategic Visibility Through Analytics
Lead advanced analysis of product and member data to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks, delivering clear, executive-ready insights that shape planning and performance.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of experience within a credit union, with deep exposure to product strategy, financial analysis, or portfolio management
- Comprehensive expertise across lending and deposit products, including pricing dynamics, margin drivers, and regulatory considerations
- Proven ability to evaluate product profitability, model financial scenarios, and influence strategic decisions
- Strong understanding of how product design translates into tangible member value
- Experience analyzing competitive landscapes and market dynamics within financial services
- Exceptional ability to communicate complex insights to executive and cross-functional audiences
- A strategic mindset grounded in analytical rigor, comfortable using data to inform, support, and defend recommendations
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field

Compensation and Job Title is commensurate with experience and may fall under the following pay ranges:
Business Strategist- $90,000 to $130,000 Annually
