Analyst -1

Northern Trust is seeking an Analyst -1 for its Pune and Bangalore offices. This role involves ensuring the accurate processing of financial transactions, resolving issues, and supporting financial operations within established guidelines. This is a night shift position, ideal for recent commerce graduates or professionals with up to 1 year of relevant experience in the financial domain. Key Responsibilities Ensure timely and accurate processing of financial transactions within established guidelines. Prepare and submit daily checklists to the next level for review. Identify and resolve issues within set parameters, escalating complex problems as necessary. Track daily deliverables (SLA/KRA) and support process improvements. Prepare and execute function-specific reports. Follow incident and regulatory breach reporting procedures diligently. Work effectively as a team member and independently when required. Develop proficiency in all areas of the job over time. Collaborate with supervisors to enhance knowledge and improve processes. Support the team in maintaining high levels of operational accuracy. Participate in training sessions to improve functional skills. Contribute to a collaborative, flexible, and supportive work culture. Handle confidential financial data with a high level of integrity. Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulations. Take ownership of assigned tasks and ensure timely completion. Required Skills and Knowledge Basic functional and industry knowledge in finance. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Effective oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of MS Excel. Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing. Ability to work independently and in a team. Flexibility to adapt to changing work demands.
