SUMMARY: Under direct supervision, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and well-maintained operation of corporate offices and facilities. This role performs routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair tasks to support a clean, functional, and professional environment for employees and visitors. The Maintenance Worker ensures that all facilities are properly prepared and ready for use prior to scheduled services or functions, and provides both routine and emergency maintenance services as needed. Please note that this is a part-time (50%) position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting tasks
- Conduct routine inspections of office spaces, common areas, and building systems to identify maintenance needs
- Respond to internal work orders and service requests in a timely and professional manner
- Assist with setup and breakdown of conference rooms, meetings, and company events
- Maintain and troubleshoot building systems such as lighting, HVAC, and minor equipment issues
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and services
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations (OSHA standards as applicable)
- Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment
- Support cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas, storage rooms, and shared spaces
- Assist with minor groundskeeping duties as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Education and/or Experience
A high school diploma or its equivalent is required, and two or more years of college are preferred. (Another equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.)

Must have knowledge of basic math.
Computer Skills
Must have knowledge of basic computer skills.
Reasoning Ability
Must be able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Must possess the ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism and a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

None required. (Must be a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church, in regular standing.)

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. (Assistance should be requested when lifting requirements exceed 30 pounds.) Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
This position operates primarily within a corporate office and facilities setting. The Maintenance Worker is regularly required to move throughout buildings and grounds, including indoor and outdoor areas, and may be exposed to varying temperatures, noise levels, and weather conditions. The role involves frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, bending, lifting, and the use of tools and maintenance equipment. Overtime is not permitted without supervisor’s prior approval.
