Description
Clinical Duties:
Pre-planning (i2i, ImmTrac2, labs, screening tests like Mammos/FIT, etc.)
- Patient Care
- Intake (rooming, vitals, documentation of CC and brief HPI (structured preferred), verifying medication list, entering pharmacy, confirming allergies, administer screening tools- PHQ9, PHQ9-M, GAD 7, ASQ, MCHAT, Human Trafficking, etc.)
- Assist Providers (Uses five (5) rights of medication administration, run POC tests, repeat BP’s, doing EKGs, collecting state screens, procedures, admin meds/vaccines and document in logs, translating sensitive information)
- Patient Discharge (lab/imaging/referral orders, printing patient plan, explaining referrals/orders for screening tests, scheduling follow up visits if requested by provider)
- Packaging bedside labs and taking to LabCorp (pap, aptima, urine cx/ua, throat cultures, etc.)
- Nurse Visits
- Room Turnover (cleaning, stocking, neat/tidy)
- PXP Tasks (Provider, Nurse, Personal- documenting, addressing, tasking- i.e.. relaying messages to patients)
- Assist in Ordering labs as needed (standing orders (sick or well), routine labs)
- Filing Incident Reports when appropriate
- Daily vaccine temp logs
- Medication Prior Authorizations
- Nurse Line VM’s (English/Spanish- listening, documenting, addressing, tasking)
- Call Center (tending to urgent calls coming in to call center that need to be addressed immediately)
- Address daily morning messages and messages sent after monthly All Staff meetings sent by answering service
- Autoclaving & Infection Control
- Perform Spore Counts and file passing letter
- POC Test Controls & Logs
- Bedside Medication Inventory/Ordering & Logs
- OTC Medication Inventory/Ordering & Logs
- Birth Control Device Inventory & Logs
- Vaccine Logs
- Inventory & Ordering Medical supplies- including AED, Oxygen, etc.
- Vaccine Management
- Serve as primary Vaccine Coordinator for their clinic
- TVFC- inventory, ordering, VOAS management, participate in annual enrollment
- ASN- inventory, ordering, VOAS management, participate in annual enrollment
- Private- inventory and ordering
- Flu- yearly pre-booking in TVFC/private
- Participate in yearly state audit for TVFC/ASN
- Participate in yearly IQUIP Project

Requirements
- Prefer Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with at least 3 years’ experience in an outpatient or Community Health Center.
- Prefer at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Maintain current CPR and/or ACLS/BCLS
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) highly
- Valid Driver’s license and auto insurance as traveling to different clinic locations will be required at times.
Summary
The Clinical Manager is an integral part of the health care team and focuses on the daily clinical oversight of nursing department staff, while working in collaboration with providers to address patient care needs, optimize patient flow, increase patient satisfaction, and mitigate risk. The Clinical Manager also works with the Associate Director of Nursing Operations in the management of NTACHC’s TVFC/ASN immunization program, providing health education to patients of all ages in accordance with established nursing standard, all while working with all health center personnel to ensure an efficient and safe environment of care.
