STUDENT IT INTERNSHIP
(TEMPORARY)
Hiring Manager: Steven Pedersen
Several positions will be available. The age range for this position is 14-17. These are TEMPORARY positions that will be 5 days a week, 8 am to 4 pm, from July 1 to August 14, 2026.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hardware Maintenance: Repair, clean, image, and perform preventative maintenance on computers and Chromebooks.
- Deployment & Logistics: Prepare, configure, and distribute new devices for the upcoming school year; assist with hardware staging and office/classroom setups.
- Inventory Management: Accurately track, tag, and update asset records in the district’s inventory system.
- Team Support: Collaborate with the IT department on special projects and provide general technical support as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have official identification for a Federal I-9 form (usually a driver's license/DMV Identification card, and a Social Security card, OR a current Passport)
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet each requirement satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed for the position.
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to work harmoniously with others and to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with staff and students
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when needed
- Ability to work independently on assigned tasks with direction from supervisor
- Ability to respond sensitively to student needs and questions
- Perform physical requirements which may include:
- Moderate degree of physical stamina and a light degree of physical strength
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend frequently, and occasional lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to use a computer, telephone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time
- Ability to make frequent trips from one location to other locations throughout the district
