Summary of Duties: The Civilian Parking Control position is responsible for enforcing local parking ordinances and supporting traffic-related operations within the Police Department. This role involves responding to parking complaints, working directly with citizens to address concerns, and issuing parking citations when necessary. In addition, the position assists with traffic control activities as needed and ensures accurate data entry of parking tickets and warnings. The individual may also perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Responds to parking complaints.
· Works with citizens to address complaints.
· Issues parking citations.
· Assists with traffic control activities, as needed.
· Responsible for data entry of parking and warning tickets.
· Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
· Valid State of Missouri driver’s license.
· Have the ability to prepare parking citations.
Physical Demands: Long periods sitting in a vehicle
Work Environment: Outdoors, including extreme weather (hot, cold, rain, etc).
