Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to join our team and lead our News and Insights Portfolio. This portfolio is comprised of several industry-leading news publications delivered on the ArcXP platform. The Product Manager will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the offerings available on this portfolio. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing product lifecycles, from ideation to launch, and will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet market needs and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilites

  • Enhancement and Innovation: Continuously improve the offerings by implementing new features, functionalities, and data integrations with other Norstella products to enhance user experience and engagement. Manage quarterly roadmap with an agile mindset.
  • AI Use Cases: Deliver AI use cases to enhance product functionality, user experience, and editorial process efficiencies.
  • Anchor the build: Work closely with the tech and data teams to enhance existing products and ship new ones. The PM will be responsible for spec'ing out requirements and coordinating between stakeholders to the point of product releases.
  • News Product Formats: Understand and develop multiple engaging formats for news delivery, viz., web app, mobile app, newssletters, etc.
  • Product Usage Analytics: Integrate product analytics tools such as Pendo and develop a comprehensive product analytics framework to continuously improve user experience and engagement.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement for cutting edge news delivery.
  • Understand User Needs: Conduct user and market research to understand user needs and preferences.
  • User Experience: Collaborate with the UX/UI design team to create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for the news website and the news mobile app.
  • Agile Management: Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders, including editorial teams, product marketing, sales, and customer success to gather requirements and ensure alignment on product strategy and roadmap.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for product-related questions, issues, and updates from stakeholders and clients.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor and analyze product performance metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Share Insights: Share product usage insights with the commercial team and the editorial team to inform strategy and decision-making.


Requirments

  • Minimum 7 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in digital media, news publications, or related fields. E.g. Bloomberg, Thomson Reuters, Wall Street Journal, Dow Jones, AP, Economic Times, The Ken, NDTV Digital, The Scroll, Print, etc.
  • Proven experience in managing product backlogs, defining user stories, and prioritizing features.
  • Strong understanding of market access challenges and industry regulations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization in a global, multi-cultural organization.
  • Experience with ArcXP or other similar Content Management System
  • Experience with Pendo or other similar product analytics tools
