Members Associate

Are you passionate about entrepreneurship and want to support those that are make saving the world their business? We are looking for a brilliant Members Associate to help grow and strengthen the thriving community of entrepreneurs at Norrsken Kigali House - East Africa’s largest hub for impact entrepreneurship.

In this role, you’ll work closely with the Community Manager in running our community of +1300 entrepreneurs, change-makers and innovators who are turning bold ideas into businesses From onboarding new members and optimizing internal systems, to driving initiatives and community events - you’ll help shape the paths in which our members can grow, connect and thrive.

This is an exciting opportunity for you who’s at the start of your career and are looking for an opportunity to take ownership, learn fast and join a small tight knit team, all dedicated to building East Africa’s largest hub for impact entrepreneurship.

Key Responsibilities, Include But Are Not Limited To

  • Member experience: Manage the end-to-end member journey, from onboarding to offboarding, ensuring a smooth experience. Lead internal communications by responding to member requests (in Slack and the member portal), supporting members and creating a positive experience.
  • Community operations: Organize community events, workshops, and networking opportunities that encourage collaboration and connection. Gather member feedback through quarterly surveys and proactively suggest improvements to strengthen the experience of being part of Norrsken House Kigali.
  • Data and systems management: Own records of membership data and uphold unity across platforms and CRM. Identify and drive improvements to optimize our processes.
  • Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with the Community Manager and Finance team to ensure timely processing of memberships and invoices. Collaborate with the global Norrsken team to share insights and align on best practices across Norrsken houses.

To thrive and succeed in this role, we believe you have:

  • A genuine passion for making the world a better place, and share our belief that entrepreneurship and innovative tech can be forces to drive positive change
  • A relevant university degree and up to two years of work experience
  • An analytical mindset and general understanding of data analysis that lets you interpret data to guide decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills where you’re able to prioritize what matters, organize your work and keep things moving - get good sh*t done, as we say at Norrsken.
  • Comfortable working with digital tools such as CRM systems and financial software - interest in tech is a big plus
  • Previous experience in community management, membership engagement, or customer relations is considered a plus

Salary And Benefits

This role is based out of Norrsken Kigali House and you’ll report to the Community Manager. Besides working in one of the most dynamic and inspiring settings in Rwanda, you’ll receive:
