Role Overview

We're looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Operations Associate to support the day-to-day financial processes and backend operations at Nooklyn. This role is essential to keeping our books accurate, our agents paid, and our systems in sync across platforms like QuickBooks, Stripe, and our proprietary Nooklyn site. You’ll work closely with the finance team, operations leads, and agents.

Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Refunds
  • Process sales and check entries
  • Generate and manage customer invoices
  • Handle additional sales-related tasks
  • Process refunds
Accounts Payable
  • Enter vendor bills and credits
  • Set up payments for approval
  • Print, write, or initiate online payments
  • Manage Tipalti entries and commission processing
  • Use Nooklyn’s proprietary check request system
  • Includes reviewing lease page balances to verify fund availability
Agent Support
  • Resolve agent commission disputes
  • Complete ad hoc tasks requested by agents
Disputes
  • Review and submit required documents
  • Track and follow up on dispute statuses
Accounts Receivable
  • Create customer invoices and credit memos
  • Track and record new development expenses
  • Generate invoices for new development projects
  • Confirm availability of funds on lease pages before agent payouts or commission holds
Reconciliation & Data Accuracy
  • Maintain accurate records across QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Nooklyn website
  • Ensure consistency in payable and receivable names across platforms
Required Skills & Experience
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Familiarity with Google Docs and Google Drive
  • Experience using Dropbox for file organization
  • Experience with Stripe API and integrating payment systems into websites
Preferred / Bonus Experience
  • Background in real estate or real estate accounting/operations
